I love weddings! I love photography, and I love KZN!
My name is Linda Mthiyane AKA LindaSobig. I was born and raised in KZN in a rural area known as Mtubatuba Cinci Reserve, KwesakaMthethwa. My fascination of photography started in the early years of my life but I started being an active photographer when I was doing grade 8 in Ekupheleni high school in year 2000. Back then the technology was not so advanced as nowadays. My first camera was film based and, I got my first digital camera year 2004, We used to call pictures 'same time pictures ' as the picture would print the minute it's taken. When I was in matric in year 2004 I got an opportunity to shoot my very first wedding ceremony. This was an outstanding and very exciting experience for me as I was still fairly young and still in high school. Only older photographers were trusted to shoot events as big as wedding ceremonies. The older photographer who was meant to shoot that wedding had a problem with his equipment, I was therefore asked to take over. The couple that was getting married was quite impressed with my work. That's it when I developed confidence in my work and started taking it more serious.
